Which of these programs MFA Creative Writing is the best (or TOP 3-5)?
in terms of: – the quality of the program (vigorous preferred) – Environment (preferably in the city, good public transport) – economic (middle-class, the burden of parents, and graduated from undergraduate): Florida State University, University of Iowa, University of Michigan, University of Texas Michener Center at the University of California at Irvine, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Virginia, Brooklyn College, CUNY, the University of Mississippi, Ohio State University University of Arizona University of Houston and if you please as many reasons as possible. I have explored numerous sites website and the various ranks. I am looking for personal knowledge. Thank you very much.
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Iowa and I would go one day to another writing workshop here so I can at least give some information about the school. For the program itself, since I am in I can not say much, but is known as one of the best programs of MFA in creative writing in the country. Although then again on the floor, their acceptance rate is quite low. Most of what I hear, I think they expect their students to have experience of the first life instead of coming directly from the first round, so in my own situation, I doubt I would get on If the application immediately. But I'm pretty sure that although this sample of writing is always the most important aspect. The environment is good for writers. There are approximately Some libraries, including Prairie Lights, host to numerous readings. I am also sure Iowa City has recently estimated that the City of Literature. Culture as the population is sufficient for size, not too big and I think the population is about 60,000, but at the same time. And the transportation public good. The school has Cambus which is free and buses that cover the entire campus, which is impressive since the campus is so widespread. I do not really rode buses, but appear to be good than I can say. Financially, I'm not sure Iowa is a school that basically to funding students or MFA creative writing, but I think it might. Also, there are certainly technical positions (as I have said repeatedly by the technical audience who were part of the workshop writing), so it's a way to make money.
