Can anyone tell me how they treated their children weird?
My 11 year old son was just diagnosed with strangers while a relief know that there is a reason for his provocative behavior, we have some tips on how to handle it. Can anyone tell me how they treated their children weird? And there are good resources there for parents? Help!
Hello Fishman. I have empathy for parents raising a child with ODD. Wonderful that may be, children are present ODD daily challenges. I have an excellent resource to recommend – Have you heard of EmpoweringParents.com? It's really interesting, practical online magazine that deals specifically for managing difficult behavior in children. (I'm a little biased, because writing and editing for the EP, but I know from experience that allowed hundreds of thousands of parents – me included!) See the section on SDO below and be sure to read the comments left by other parents thereafter. Very informative. (And you'll see that you are not alone.)
