Drug abuse: marijuana and alcohol
Four levels of drugs are easily identified: lack of drugs, drug use, drug abuse and addiction.
No drug users do not use drugs either. Drug users drug occasionally, usually with others during leisure time. Drug addicts use drugs more easily, at a time when sobriety is required and so that the lives of other functions or roles are endangered or already committed. Drug addicts use drugs regularly at the point where there is a physiological dependence. Given the physiological dependence, abrupt cessation drug results in physical symptoms ranging from agitation to depression than physical pain and death.
Many people consider the marijuana and alcohol as substances that are harmless when used the recess to time. Is questionable. At least, no one becomes an addict without becoming in a drug user.
Drug violence is the main concern, however, and is more than the occasional recreational use. Although you can argue that recreational use occasionally is not destructive, the only problems accrue to those that interfere with the most frequently used psychological, family, marital, social, academic or professional life. Moreover, the threshold for drug abuse is easily identifiable when there is leisure time outside of intoxication where overlap with recreational activities where the use or the consequences of use hinder any activity. Moreover, if drug use is often or always associated with recreational activities, this increases the level of violence, as the user is very limited scope in healthy recreational activities.
Common among those who reach the criteria for drug abuse is the mistaken belief that its use is reasonable and not harmful. These people tend to project blame for consequences of their addiction outside factors themselves. In other words, the drug offers many excuses used for cloud or at least minimize their abuse. Hence the school failure Students tell stories of a teacher who takes upon him / her. The employee can blame the boss, sometimes one spouse blaming the other spouse. When both spouses are drug abuse or when a person is immersed in a peer group, where drug abuse is the norm, people tend to perceive a kind of moral support to enable or encourage its position that drug abuse is reasonable. Each used the other to justify their abuse of drugs and trying to appear less than it is.
Without But the drug people should take personal responsibility at a time or to facilitate ongoing sobriety and to correct the consequences of their behavior.
Although there may be problems with the inter-relationships of drug user, the challenge is to help the person understand how problems come either with him or her and / or exacerbated by drug abuse. Anyway, it is vital that the addict to be responsible and not escape responsibility for the consequences of their behavior on themselves and others.
Besides being responsible for the results of his drug abuse, these people need support to participate in other healthy and positive social activities that are incompatible with the use drug.
Drug abuse is reinforced when the person is doing, literally, that contains, is not responsible and is able to talk about his form or manipulating its consequences, the production and accountability.
When the structures are in place to limit the possibility that all drugs, the person is responsible and other support activities and deployed, then recovery may occur and adopted a healthy lifestyle.
