parenting black children

Why do some martial arts provide children with black belts?
I do not understand how some of these martial arts scene tape award black child 11 years or 12 years. Unless the child is a miracle, unbelievable, I do not see how he does nothing but reduce the price of Black belt. I realized that parents also like to boast of his son with a belt of high rank. Do not you think if they presume to be compeitions to win?
I agree … Many martial arts schools in the U.S. have totally devalued the idea of a black belt. I've been training for 18 years. I also write books leadership with the principles of martial arts. A funny (and true) story … ************************* I was making a book signing once, and both parents came with their children (8 and 10 years) in the trailer. "Oh!" Said the father, after I sign the book of many: "You're a black belt?" "Yes, I replied." How wonderful, "said the proud mom, pushing his son later. "My two sons are 2nd degree black belt! *********** I was so impressed, I think he just held my mouth open. Not only giving a child a black belt cheapen the whole process of martial arts, I think it also makes it dangerous for the child. None of the children who met that night would have weighed over 70 pounds. As a parent, I do not want any of my children, thinking they had a black belt because they were so highly trained who could win a street fight. This is problematic. Very good question! It was bothering me years.
