It is a Defacto fosterparent obtain the status of parents in Washington state?
We hope to adopt our current fosterchild is in our home near one year (from birth) In another saw a father who has an approved ICPC. This report has met the boy when he was 8 months, have no connection. We are concerned that the rights of biological parents are over movewhen for parents. This child is very connected to our family and we fear the trauma that would approach him. I do not know our options at this point since the federal law to have a child in permanent placement outside the home if 15out of 22 months is not reinforced. Any and all advice positive welcome you!
While the child has a relative who is willing to take care, its unlikely to be granted the status of Defacto parents unless they can ask the court as evidence that the parent is not an appropriate environment. The argument of "collage" Will not Get Any place. A toddler adapts very quickly to a new home. Most people do not remember anything before age 3. The trauma that fear is yours ….
